NPSC was established to service and maintain the Hospitality HouseKeeper (HHK) software and provide ongoing maintenance and training to healthcare hospitality house organizations using the software.

HHK is open-source, business class software that requires technical knowledge and assistance to be installed and used.

For a monthly service charge, NPSC provides the following services:

  • Install and configure the software to your House’s operational processes and policies
  • Convert and upload existing and historical data
  • Get you started with using the software for reservations and check-ins
  • Set up invoicing
  • Assist in training your staff
  • Determine which customized reports are most useful for your administration
  • Show you how to make use of features that will help your organization be more efficient and effective
  • Answer questions via phone and email support
  • Provide ongoing support, including configuration and use of new features
  • Host your site on a HIPAA-secure server and provide backups on request
  • Implement software updates and new releases
  • Develop new features based on client feedback and suggestions

HIPAA Compliance

NPSC is fully compliant with the technological aspects of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, commonly known as HIPAA.

  • All HHK clients who host with NPSC have their data stored on a HIPAA-compliant server.
  • NPSC staff and board members are trained and certified in HIPAA compliance.
  • A HIPAA Privacy Officer and a Security Officer have been designated. They have taken additional training in HIPAA-compliance requirements and serve as point people for client questions.
  • NPSC conducts audits of operations every six months to ensure that we are identifying and remedying any HIPAA-related issues.
  • Business Associate Agreements are signed by all clients, ensuring protection for NPSC and the House.

Training

Training is conducted online via a PC screen-sharing application so everyone sees exactly what is happening on the page.

A set of pre-recorded training videos walks the viewer through the various procedures for check-in, checkout, reservations, and creating various reports.
